Mandarake becomes a thing that only integrated and this is existing in the Bandai Museum in but was examined in the best country. But if you attention to the world (but is only an information close to the rumors) European collector (this man is quite a person) is in have one you, also to the other you, such as a single, but was unable to identify the regional.
(So in a reliable thing is two, there is merely speculative, but is is without four there we believe that, all of the original box in the world) in

industry magazine booklet called "NEW DESIGN (New Design)" Yes you.1958 (1958) has in November No. 1 is launched, but its identity has become clear have this robot is published in No52 (5 May 1964).This book is intended to be issued by the Foundation "Japan export toys registration Association", it was intended to make it clear that mainly that what toys in the industry are registered. In the design registration number is 823 (meaning class C), the name is now "Spaceman".Design registration submitter is a registered at Sadakichi Nomura Toshiro Nomura double name. And although the New depends on the design magazine and the official registration of No2 of Tetsujin 28 has been carried out in 1966 (1966), the registration contents at this time has become a "pattern change of registered product", change the the original has also become a (see Toshio Nomura Sadakichi Nomura 52 No. 10 pages). The "page 10 of 52 No." of reference will be that of the foregoing "Spaceman"."Spaceman" of similar Tetsujin 28-go No2 that is, have been made two years ago than the No2 of Iron Man, will be that the No2 of Tetsujin 28 in the fact that the "pattern change" has been created.Although this fact space from the man is likely also to the fact that what was NO2 prototype (prototype), the reality is to design registration, 30 bodies although the few to have made the real thing with the original box , but it is a special case because we also passed further registration after two years, still space Man it seems whether the good be considered as its own independent robot.

So do you robot was built to regular Nomura of the leading toy manufacturers why so little. We tried to verify it.
Box has also been made properly, but former box that existing does not exist. But at that time the officials of the story was that was something that was very similar to (but was vague) box of No2 of Iron Man.No2 As you know well everyone will have to accept the type of lobby robot, at the time the body of the design in such form (type) has been made a variety of tin by changing the peripheral type or print as it is directly below. This space man was also one of them.Nomura Toy teeth already in 1960 scolded Iron Man robot wo What kind of mosquito production and hand have better other shells, this space man tooth nose Coso apex wants hand high- Mase down moth Iron Man Roh combs wo have hand have masu Node, how you look hand mourning Tetsujin 28 issue Roh we make in the motif. In the lean of this regard at the time of copyright consciousness is a problem, Nomura side has designed this space man without completely do without fear against Mr. Yokoyama.President of Sadakichi Nomura was also a member of the production ideas group.Shikashi he leaves quite a mood ya de Al-meaning art house two close craftsman rise Roh president disciple other shells, resulting hand came other things wo saw the hand like it no door regular Roh manufacturing process second blade through Mase down disciple other. One of them is in this space man, was actually built in the 30 bodies, I came into the world out as Tetsujin 28-go No2 as it abandoned just demands of the production side that wanted to put out into the world this design two years later .It is that there is no way even said in Cod Liver, but since the 15 million yen if the box with the completion goods is a robot more than lightly, is a spar collection items involving also the category of Iron Man collector not only collectors of tin robot.
For example, large species, such as human beings in a mammal in biology there is no room to be another newly discovered on Earth.Insects and fish, is still the possibility to plants and microorganisms has been left, but're exhausted longer little explored is the status quo. While in Japan of tin robot overseas had gone almost research, such as "signal robot" in the last year of large-Man festival, the "Spaceman" even if comparable to the mammal discovery level events of a new large-scale think you crack. It boiled wearing hand mourning Japan Roh 1960 age Roh toy industry Roh bottom mounting depth is bet good masu mosquito, still some unknown field discovered two teeth collector field Roman moth aroused be increased.

If you are using most of the same type as the No2 of Tetsujin 28-go, the mask (excluding the nose) leg, the back of the tank, arms, waist, etc., different types use only hatch-like triangular panel and the nose of the breast is.But the eyes of the way into the foreign-style print is loading the tin which has been subjected to, human beings has become a figure wearing a space suit "Spaceman".In the fine part has become a polite furnished with a different wheel cap from the tire of the sole is No2.In No2 greatly different from the print, the base of the first tinplate part No2 but is clay color, space man has become a metallic blue. And through ear cover you can see, the rear tank, around the waist of print, arm, such as most of it has become a glossy overall impression than No2 in what has been newly designed. The biggest feature of tinplate nose of normal Ironman No2 in the "nose" is a rubber molding, Spaceman is formed on a triangle like a human nose in the tin, the bottom is a specification to wrap thin tinplate you have.

The box of this model has been reprinted, so it might be the first time we saw this toy with its original box. 2,500 of this toy was produced specifically for overseas markets, and only 300 sold domestically. However, unlike the usual domestic version, this toy had the same box specifications as the overseas version.
It should be noted that though the back of the helmet is fixed with a screw, in rare cases it is fixed with tin tabs instead. This form is very rare and usually can be seen only on the Japanese version. There is a power switch on the chest. The lights on his life support equipment on his back flash while he walks. The arms can be easily raised and lowered.

It is nearly 10 cm higher than the mainspring version, so you can feel its overwhelming presence. Put the batteries in its feet, turn on the switch on the waist, and it will walk and shake its hands!

A very detailed piece with a powerful illustration on the box that is remeniscent of Komatsuzaki.
It was originally for an order from US company 'Cragstan' and though there is no engraved mark of a Japanese manufacturer on it, many overseas researchers think that this toy was made by Yonezawa. But the real maker is none other than Yoneya. This is because modern big companies like Bandai, Nomura or Yonezawa, were still small and didn't have their own specialized craftsmen. So the tinsmith who made this model worked for both Yonezawa and Yoneya.
It is really hard to find this toy in such perfect condition nowadays. The first and second vehicles are connected. A parabolic antenna and rocket scene from the 3rd vehicle come in the set with missiles from the 4th vehicle. The set also includes the 12 parts of the railway.
The is a flashing light on the driver's seat, the rocket and the antenna rotate automatically while driving.

While Masudaya's "Gang of Five" made its huge successes in America, Yonezawa had to put all its efforts in this hakama-type medium-sized robot to keep popularity overseas.
Yonezawa was pretty enthusiastic about this model and released about 3000 copies of it, but since this toy was mainly targeted at children, there are very few of them left in good condition - only about 30 copies. The box's and toy's conditions are close to superb, but there are tiny scratches on the side and occiput corner.

Signal robot "Mr.SIGNAL"
This signal robot us wrapped in the mystery of the world of a tin robot collectors.
Before we used to tell you about the world's first tin robot "Lilliput", about "Machine Man" and "Tetsu no Iron Man". This time Mandarake will reveal the last big mystery in the tin robot history.

Although the features of the "Machine Man" from Masudaya "Gang of Five" series have been unknown for a long time, after some investigation, it became clear that only 80 copies of this toy were made as samples and sent to overseas (mainly the USA).
Actually, this signal robot has the similar history. It was made as a free sample by the Tokyo Plaything Association to raise the sales in overseas, though this company (TPS) didn't make many robots before that.

TPS was launched by Yoshio Udagawa in 1956 and before releasing this toy it was famous for comical tin toys of small animals, clown unicyclists, and skaters.
Udagawa was an ambitious person, always searching for new products to sell, taking new challenges all the time. But somehow the company could not make a toy popular enough, while Masudaya made a hit in the USA with its "Gand of Five" series. Udagawa knew about it and released the robot that was absolutely different from the concept that they had before, using a lot of plastic (that was unpopular that time) and creating the innovative design of the face. The Masudaya made a very small amount of their "Machine Man", but TPS had even less - only 70 copies, that they sent as a free sample to American toys wholesalers and dealers. Unfortunately, it didn't go well - the toy was a little bit "out of style" for their tastes.
It became a big shock for Udagawa, who was very hopeful about this project. At the end, they called designer and engineer Kusida Yasuo from Shinnichi Kogyo to change the route of the company. It was a huge success: most of the TPS masterpieces left today were made by Kushida.
Although the signal robot was just a sample, it was made of polystyrene, which was very unusual for that period, and had a full-color box, just like "Machine Man".
There are still some copies of this product left in overseas, but most of them have part lost or damaged. Nowadays there are only 5 well-preserved copies with the original boxes. This extremely beautiful collector model of the signal robot is one of them.
The construction is very fragile: the internal parts are almost handmade, made out of paper tape, nylon, and thin gears. That is why some few of fully operational copies are left.
Since the robot was made in the '50s, a battery box is made according to the battery size of that time: we've attached the conversion adapter, so now you can use AA batteries. But since this robot is a cultural heritage, we highly recommend not to overuse it.
The robot swings the arms and legs while ringing the bell. The chest gear turns around, and red and the blue signals flash on and off.

There are many mysteries around Yonezawa's space toys and there are still many things that can be discovered. Though this Ranger-7's form is similar to the general "Moonh rocket" battery type, this model has friction and flint gimmicks. The model itself is very rare, it is more difficult to find one with the box. They toy ignites while driving, there are red light in the windows.

Item #1002 from Mandarake Zenbu 61
It is a simplified version of Space Patrol Super Cycle, but since there is a Superman logo on its chest (and there is also a losable cloak), it is not difficult to guess who they had in mind.
Though Super Cycle's and this rider's figures were made out of the same material and they put him in a sitting position, eventually material hardened and now it is impossible to completely lower figure on the saddle or fit the feet into the holes on the side steps. You can hear an engine sound when toy starts to move.
ZENBU 61

We've already presented this item in our special robot edition of MANDARAKE Zenbu.
This is the very first tin toy robot, developed by Toy Studio KT (Kanto prefecture) according to Mr.Kosuge's design in 1935, was a mystery for a long time. This toy is and the indispensable gem in the world of tin robots, and we did our best to get it in our hands.
This robot is recognized worldwide and has various reprints and versions, but if you are a toy collector, you should get this original robot for sure: exquisite print, coating color close to the mat machine orange, elbows. moving wrists, switch on the back, eyes, mouth and meter working of reverse emboss. Though most of the people find it "cute", it has its unique "sadness" that gives this robot an immeasurable presence.
More you look at it, more you feel it.

If you look at this toy now, you'll notice that it has a very strange structure: all the colors on the bike were printed, while sunglasses and forehead moon marks were painted by hand. In order to check if it wasn't added afterward, we asked two collectors to show us the same products - and after the examination, we were sure that these parts were painted by hand on all models of this toy.
The painting was made by really good professionals, so this little fact had been left unknown for a really long time. We also asked the people, who was connected with producing this toy, and had two answers: "We discovered, that printing wasn't clear enough" and "since Moonlight Mask is also in the doll classification, we thought that eyes were the most important part and that the best way was to color it by hand on the final stage".
The dynamics, which was created by the pose with a gun, is also emphasized by the hand painting on the head part.
There is "1959" on the number plate, which might stand for the date of the release - "Moonlight Mask" TV series was broadcasted from 1958 to 1959. There is a "Moonlight mask" printed in gold letter on the original mantle.
Except for lights and stickers, there is the same figure of "Maboroshi tantei".

This is a spring Robot produced by Aoshin in 1950.
It has a stop-go lever on its back, and when you set it into the action, its wheels starts turning and iron sticks jumps out from the bottom part of the toy.
The toy moves perfectly, sparks are coming out from the chest part without any problem, and the moving antenna on its head is also original.

Though this Mr.Atomic robot is worthy of all praise, we will cut them, since there are a lot of other articles dedicated to the splendor of its modeling.
It makes a "Kyun Kyun" sound when it walks, and there are lights in its face part that flashes in different colors. Maybe these innovative for that time gimmicks and the special form of the robot itself were the secret of its popularity?
The movements of the toes are connected with the auxiliary wheel on the bottom part, so you have to put the toy on the floor to see its interlocking movements.

Bootleg Museum

"The line-up of fake toys that we've collected over the long history of Mandarake.
Counterfeits are nothing new in the world of antique toys, but since there is very little information about fake antique toys and their circulation is quite big, it can become dangerous for the regular market.
That is why Mandarake decided to publish the bootlegs that we've managed to collect until now. Previously we have published only those objects of which we were confident about the originality.
Now we hope that this information will be helpful for collectors.
It should be noted, that bootlegs are considered to be athe "necessary evil" of this market.
We take a really close look at the counterfeits as if they were objects in the museum, since they have a history as long as art itself.
Rather than casting aside the bootlegs and denying their value, try to find their raison d'etre for what they are.
If you accept that, you collection will acquire new life and evolve. "
