As an artist we mainly works outside of Japan and has had work exhibited in cities such as Paris, Berlin and New York. Tagame has participated in numerous events as well as producing plenty of art books. 'I received the invitation from Mandarake to make some goods so I suggested a tenugui. I wanted to create a combination of Japanese style and cruel lust while making use of a different kind of proportion from normal illustrations … and this is the result. For this piece, I used a little my favorite Ukiyo-e by Tsukioka Yoshitoshi “The Lonely House on Adachi Moor” as inspiration. It might take some courage to use this towel in public, but that is one of the characteristics of my work. You might use it as a decoration on a wall, like a hanging scroll or a tapestry, but you may still need some courage to invite people to the room. Either way, I hope you enjoy it. ' Pre-Order
